Sir Ray Tindle, the 88-year-old chairman of Tindle Newspapers Ltd, said during lunch: "Local communities want their own local newspaper, and local communities will always have their own local newspaper - local democracy demands it. Only a few days ago the chief of the biggest advertising agency in the country, Sir Martin Sorrell, said recent research had shown that readers were more likely to retain information gained from newspapers than information conveyed in other forms. This is one more good reason to be sure newspapers have a long future ahead." Source.

The REWIRE was launched by Estates Gazette, in association with FTi Consulting and in support of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. It is a a cross-industry network for women in the built environment to network and support each other and to help those who need it to find a voice.
The Countess has said during the event: "On behalf of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, I'd really like to thank Sue Brown and FTI Consulting so very much for hosting this event this evening and also to Sam Mcclary & Estates Gazette for launching REWIRE. I actually have no doubt that through your activities, that you're going to do all that you can to help and support and promote women who currently work and will work in the real estate industry. And I really applaud you for having the idea and getting this off the ground". Please note that I have written it by listening to HRH's speech, since English is not my native language, I hope I didn't make any mistakes.
From article: 'At Estates Gazette we have already committed to making sure we have at least one women on all of our panel debates, not as a token presence, but to truly reflect the nature of the industry. Through REWIRE we aim to help more women, particularly those new to the industry, to harness their knowledge and talents, to not just do, but to shout about it'. Full article can be found here.
If you’d like to get involved and join REWIRE, you can send your contact details to Samantha McClary of Estates Gazette: samantha.mcclary@estatesgazette.com.
