Yesterday, on the 14th of March The Countess of Wessex visited Bearwood Primary School at Wokingham. HRH has opened its new Foundation Stage Outdoor Environment.

The Countess of Wessex was welcomed by The Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire and The Mayor of Wokingham, as well as local authority representatives and school governors.
HRH has met students, staff and guests of Bearwood Primary School who greeted The Countess on her arrival.

As part of the visit, pupils from Foundation Stage performed a song that they had sung for Mother’s Day and the School Choir performed a song from their recent performance at the O2.
At the end of the visit, The Countess unveiled a plaque in front of the whole school and was presented with flowers by the oldest girl pupil, Madison Amor (11 years old), and the youngest boy pupil, Oscar Jones (4). HRH was also given Barkham Blue cheese which was donated by parent of the school, Mr Dole.
Headteacher of the Bearwood Primary School, Mrs Jane Barlow has said after the visit: "This is the first Royal visit that Bearwood has ever had, and this is a little part of history that we will all remember.
