Just a tiny bit post, while we are all enjoying summer weather, I think it's one of the hottest summer's here in Poland. Anyway, back to Sophie or should I say, The Countess of Wessex. I was really happy to see our lady on The Vanity Fair's 2015 International Best-Dressed List. A spokesman said that the the winners were not ranked but merely listed one after the other. So the places keep changing.
Most Notable Ensemble of 2015 for HRH The Countess of Wessex accoriding to Vanity Fair: A striped silk-satin Emilia Wickstead dress and a custom Jane Taylor hat, worn to the Royal Ascot.
Other ladies who made it to the list: Taylor Swift - I do like her style - mostly casual daily style, she is inspired by Audrey Hepburn and you can never go wrong with such inspiration, never! Plus she is a cat person, like myself. And her cats are named after famous TV series characters Doctor Meredith Grey & Detective Olivia Benson, how cool is that! And they travel in style as well :)
Back to the list: Francesca Amfitheatrof, Samantha Cameron, Charlotte Casiraghi, Amal Clooney, Misty Copeland, Mellody Hobson, Rihanna & H.M. Queen Letizia of Spain. As for The Duchess of Cambridge, she is in the Vanity Fair's Hall of Fame and can't be included on the list anymore. This year's winner of The Hall of Fame is H.H. Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned of Qatar.
We will see The Earl & Countess of Wessex on the 15th August, as they will join The Queen and other members of The Royal Family in a service to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day) at St Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Trafalgar Square. The Countess will fully resume her royal duties (after the summer break) on the 30th August. Autumn looks pretty busy. I have updated the royal diary.
