Yesterday in the evening, TRH's The Earl and Countess of Wessex, were guests of honour at The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebration at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in the private grounds of Windsor Castle in Windsor, Berkshire.
The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration tells the remarkable story of Her Majesty's life encompassing a reign spanning more than 60 years, starting from when she was born in 1926, through World War Two, to the Coronation in 1953. It's a celebration of The Queen’s life, her love of horses, her dedication to the Commonwealth and international affairs and her deep involvement with the Navy, Army and Air Force.

Over 90 minutes, 900 horses and more than 1,500 participants from around the United Kingdom and the World create a joyful event for The Queen. The celebration was created by the team that organised the successful Diamond Jubilee Pageant in Windsor in 2012.
Performers and displays include the Oman Royal Cavalry, Chilean Huasos, the New Zealand Army Band, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Azerbaijani Dancers and Karabakh Horses and Riders, state carriages from the Royal Mews, The Countess of Wessex’s String Orchestra, the South Australian Police Band, the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, the Fijian Army Dancers and Band, 100 Military and Commonwealth Pipers and the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment.
TRH's arrived in a Scottish State Coach from The Royal Mews. The coach was built in 1830 for Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge and his family used it for many years until they sold it to William Keppel, 7th Earl of Albemarle, who converted it into a semi-State landau. In 1920, the Keppel family returned the coach to the Royal Family by presenting it as a gift to Queen Mary. The carriage was used on many occasions, including 2011 to chauffeur the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh at the Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
I will be watching the final night of The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations which will air on ITV on Sunday. On the 15th May, The Queen will be hosted by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and The Duchess of Cambridge with Prince Harry will also be present. Judging from the pictures and tweets it's a spectaculare event, one not to be missed!
