As, I have mentioned in my previous post, on the 25th of February, The Countess of Wessex as Outgoing President of Cheshire Agricultural Society, attended the Annual General Meeting and Board Meeting at Combermere Abbey in Whitchurch. HRH was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Mr. David Briggs).
The Cheshire Agricultural Society (CAS) was founded in 1838 by the landowning gentry of the county. It is a charity which organises the annual The Royal Cheshire County Show & it is also committed to supporting local farming, agricultural and rural related business wherever practically possible.
Cheshire Agricultural Society supports a wide range of Cheshire based charities and not for profit organisations, such as: RABI, Cheshire Scouts, WI, Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, Cheshire Landscape Trust, St. Luke’s Hospice and many, many more. This support takes the form of either; donation of space at the show or financial donations. To find out more click here.
Back in June 2015, HRH as President of Cheshire Agricultural Society attended the Cheshire Agricultural Show at Cheshire. HRH was present on both days of the show and my posts can be found here & here. In January 2016, on behalf of the Cheshire Agricultural Show Society, its chairman Tony Garnett DL ARAgS officially announced that the Show has received ‘Royal’ status and is to be known as the Royal Cheshire County Show.
Outfit & jewellery: HRH arrived wearing grey coat/jacket, I am not familiar with this piece. Coat-dress which debuted last year in November, I believe it's a bespoke version of this Proenza Schouler Black Woven Belted Jacket. UFO white & yellow gold earrings, worn many times before. UFO pendant. T square Tiffany bracelet.
