Is The Countess of Wessex keen to take on some of Queen's workload? According to Sunday Times - very much so.

Today, Roya Nikkhah - The Sunday Times reporter, broke the news that seem to be the opposite to the ones shared by Express recently. Roya writes that 'The Queen is understood to be assessing how much time she can now devote to the 628 organisations and charities to which she is affiliated. Aides have described her 90th birthday in April as a “game changer”: talks have been held at Buckingham Palace to see whether other patronages could be given to various members of the royal family... The Countess of Wessex, who is close to the Queen, is also understood to be keen to take on some of her workload'.

The Daily Mail puts it in other words: "As well as the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, it has been rumoured that Prince William, 33, will take over as patron of the Football Association, while the Countess of Wessex will also share the load with a major new role". More here.

While it's still nothing definitive, I will hold on to that, especially that Roya is pretty much always spot on with her stories. I won't be suprised if those will become reality.

While January has been pretty slow with news & posts, The Countess was still very busy, she held many meetings with some of her royal patronages and represented Prince Edward on few occasions. For full list check Court Circular at British Monarchy website. Click here.

The Countess will arrive in Meribel, France on Tuesday, where she will be attending 2016 Inter Services Snow Sports Championships as The Combined Services Winter Sports Association Patron. See you then!
