The Not Forgotten Association is a unique national tri-service charity which provides entertainment, leisure and recreation for the serving wounded, injured or sick and for ex-service men and women with disabilities. The charity does its work through a wide and varied programme of activities including outings, concerts, holidays, events and the provision of televisions and TV licences. Each year they help and support approximately 10,000 individuals of all ages, whenever and wherever they served.

Marta Cunningham CBE (soprano-singer and philanthropist) established The Not Forgotten Association in 1920, with the object of providing entertainment and recreation for the war wounded. Through her royal connections, she persuaded HRH Princess Mary (Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood - daughter of King George V and Queen Mary) to become the Association’s first patron, a position she held until her death in 1965. She was succeeded by HRH The Duchess of Kent who remained Patron until 2000. HRH The Princess Royal became charity's Patron in 2000 and continues as such today.

Each year, The Not Forgotten Association is permitted to hold their annual Christmas Tea Party for War Pensioners in the State Apartments of St. James’s Palace. Approximately 300 guests of all ages come from across the UK and include serving and ex-service personnel as well as representatives from the many service associations, veterans organisations and ex-service care homes.

In the presence of a senior member of the Royal Family (this year The Earl & Countess of Wessex), The Not Forgotten Association's guests enjoy a memorable afternoon exchanging stories and experiences, making new friends and renewing long-standing acquaintances. In the evening, The Earl of Wessex as Royal Colonel of 2nd Battallion the Rifles, and The Countess of Wessex as Royal Colonel of 5th Battalion the Rifles, attended the Regimental Awards Dinner at the Guildhall. I do hope to update this event as well.
