Day 1 of HRH's visit to Qatar in support of Orbis charity.

First - few words of introduction. Those who follow me via Twitter already know that HRH is visiting Qatar this week, in support of Orbis UK - a charity that works to prevent and treat blindness through training, education, advocacy and building partnerships with local health care organisations. The Countess is also a Vice Patron of Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust which works towards eliminating avoidable blindness. The visit is for four days and will conclude on the 8th November with celebration of World Sight Day.

It's not the first time for The Countess to be in Qatar and support work of Orbis. Back in 2013, The Countess of Wessex as Patron of Vision 2020: The Right to Sight and Global Ambassador of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness,  undertaken a visit to India and Qatar in support of that sight-saving charity. Find more here & here.

Also, please note that since this visit was kept 'very quiet' and the schedule was not released in advance, my posts will or may appear later than usual, and that those will be updated on regular basis. So keep checking for new info and better pictures.

The Qatar British Business Forum (QBBF) was established in 1992 as a forum for business people to meet on a regular basis with the objective of exchanging views and opinions about existing and potential business opportunities in Qatar in general, and in particular on how best to promote trade between the United Kingdom and Qatar. During the event, Alejandra Echenique showcased designs from British clothing label, Temperely London. Alice launched Temperley London in 2000. As far as I’m aware, HRH has not worn this brand to date (though I am yet to ID ALL of her clothing, so I cannot say for certain). Of course, I do hope we’ll see Sophie wear this designer in the future, she creates some stunning and intricate pieces.

Outfit & jewellery:
Emma Willis Black Shirt.
Oscar De La Renta Multicolor Broderie Anglaise Silk-Organza Midi Skirt.
Lulu Guinness Black Sophie Fan Clutch, dates to 2012 or so.
Fun Hoops from Heavenly Necklaces.
LK Bennett Harley in black suede. Sophie has those in nude leather as well.
