The Wessex family have fun at Frampton Country Fair

The Countess of Wessex as Patron of Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations, visited 30th Frampton Country Fair in Gloucestershire today. HRH was a special guest of today's event, along with her husband - Prince Edward, and their children, Lady Louise & Viscount Severn.

Judging from the pictures, The Wessex family was hosted by Clifford family, as the fair is held annually at Frampton Court Estate, which has been in the Clifford family since the 11th century. I also saw HRH's father Christopher Rhys-Jones (Sophie's maiden name) who continues his late brother Theo legacy and supports the Fair as a Steward to this day. History of the fair can be found here.

I believe HRH was also accompanied by Lord-Lieutenant for Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, Dame Janet Trotter DBE.

Show organiser Rollo Clifford said: “The Countess of Wessex is hugely committed to the well-being of the countryside - as evidenced by her patronage of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations. Her visit to Frampton will be a huge boost to the hundreds of exhibitors.”

During an extended tour TRH's and their children visited many of the rural skills demonstrations and have seen a huge range of displays. They "played" with drones and Sophie must have taken some unusual pictures at Canon's stand. I hope we will learn what HRH's saw in due time. It looks like it was a wonderful day for them all. It's always great to see all members of The Wessex family spending quality time.

Frampton Country Fair is a traditional game fair showcasing country sports and rural skills. It is held in 30 acres of beautiful parkland of Frampton Court Estate, one of the last truly traditional country fairs celebrating all that is great about the countryside and the people who work and live in it. Frampton Country Fair supports charities and good causes related to the countryside and local area.
